FORMULA LICENSING & TRAINING

Cosmetic formula licensing and technical training

For teams that want to reproduce a cosmetic formula in their own facility, Prink can discuss formula licensing or transfer together with technical training. Training may cover the agreed process sequence, raw-material handling, critical process controls and quality checks needed to reproduce the approved standard. Formula rights, files, training scope and support are agreed separately for each project.

Formula licensing is for buyers who want a formula they can run

Prink sells or licenses cosmetic formulas as a standalone offer. Technical training is the support that goes with that formula: process order, materials and the quality checks your team needs to reproduce it. Developing a new formula is Custom Formulation. Making goods from an already approved formula is Contract Manufacturing.

Three offers, three different buying decisions

Pick the path that matches what you already have. Mixing them on one brief slows the project down.

  • Formula licensing and training

You want a Prink formula and the technical hand-off to run it. Rights, files and training scope are agreed for that formula. Stay on this page.

  • Custom formulation

You need a formula developed or adjusted for a benefit, texture, market or pack. That lab work starts on Custom Formulation, then can move into production. Custom Formulation

  • Contract manufacturing

The formula is already approved and you need compounding, bulk, filling or packing. That work is Contract Manufacturing, not a formula licence. Contract Manufacturing

Training covers how to reproduce the licensed formula

Training is tied to the formula you license. It is not a public certificate course. The topics below are the usual hand-off; the exact list is confirmed for the formula.

  • Materials and addition order

Which materials the formula uses, what each one does in the system, and the order they are added.

  • Process conditions

Temperature, mixing and other process points the formula needs so a later batch can follow the same route.

  • Quality checks

The checks used to judge a batch against the agreed standard, such as appearance, pH or viscosity when those apply to the formula.

  • Trial before routine production

A trial batch to confirm the receiving team can reproduce the formula before it is treated as a routine make.

The hand-off is a file set, not a single formula table

A usable transfer includes the files needed to reproduce the formula. Which rights you receive—use, manufacture, or a defined scope—and which files are included are written into the project.

  • Quantitative formula for the licensed product
  • Process steps and key process parameters
  • Material specifications used by that formula
  • Quality-check points for the agreed standard
  • Training notes for the receiving team

How a formula licensing project runs

Each step confirms what transfers and what your team still has to do. Scope is set per formula.

  1. Confirm the formula and the rights

You name the formula or category and the rights you need. Prink confirms whether that formula is available to license.

  2. Agree files and the receiving process

Both sides review the file set and the equipment or process the formula will run on, and record what is in scope.

  3. Train the team

Training walks through materials, process order and quality checks for that formula.

  4. Run a trial batch

A trial checks that the receiving team can reproduce the agreed standard before routine production.

  5. Hand off for production

After the trial is accepted, later manufacturing can be planned separately. Filling and bulk production stay on Contract Manufacturing unless the project says otherwise.

Discuss formula licensing

Tell us the product category, whether you need formula rights, training, or both, and who on your team will receive the hand-off. For a formula that still has to be developed, start with Custom Formulation.
