Assess scent in the actual wax and wick system
Record wax type, wick, vessel or melt format and the process used for sampling. Compare candidates after the product sets and, for candles, through a controlled burn trial. The oil name alone cannot establish throw or burn behavior.
Will an oil that works in a wax melt perform in a candle?
Not necessarily. The candle adds a wick and burn conditions. Test the selected oil in the complete candle system before making performance claims.
